Whilst En Primeur enables the purchase of wines typically 8 to 18 months following the current vintage (depending on the region), Grand Primeur extends this considerably further. This model allows you to secure exceptional wines directly from producers up to 10 years in advance—before the grapes are even harvested.

Purchasing Grand Primeur wines carries the inherent risk that a vintage may not be produced. This can occur due to adverse weather conditions or when the producer determines that the wine does not meet their exacting quality standards. In such cases, both producers and Cellaris guarantee that buyers will automatically receive an equivalent allocation from the next available vintage produced by the same estate.

Storage fees: As Grand Primeur wines are yet to be produced, no storage fees apply. We are developing storage solutions and shall provide updates as plans advance.

Taxation: In most jurisdictions, wine qualifies as a "wasting chattel" for tax purposes, typically exempt from Capital Gains Tax. However, frequent wine sales may constitute taxable income under authorities such as HM Revenue & Customs. Tax legislation varies by jurisdiction and evolves over time; we strongly recommend consulting a tax adviser for specific guidance.

Notifications: Upon purchasing wine from Cellaris, you receive an estimated delivery date.
